Iowa’s Caitlin Clark Makes History, Again

West Des Moines native Caitlin Clark continues to rewrite the record books for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The marketing major (3.60 GPA!) boasts a list of achievements as impressive as her jump shot.

First to 1,000 Twice: Clark became the first Division I women’s player to score 1,000 points in two different seasons. She drilled a 3-pointer against Michigan to etch her name in history.

Breaking Steph’s Record: Just a day before the 1,000-point feat, Clark surpassed Steph Curry’s record for most 3-pointers in a season (men or women) with 164.

Maravich Toppled: Last weekend, Clark achieved the seemingly impossible, surpassing legendary scorer Pete Maravich for the NCAA Division I all-time scoring record. She tallied 35 points against Ohio State to rewrite history.

Humble in Victory: Even after these incredible achievements, Clark remains grounded. “Still soaking it all in,” she said, focusing on enjoying the moment with family and teammates.

Eyes on the Prize: While declared for the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark’s work at Iowa isn’t finished. The Hawkeyes chase the Big Ten title, and the NCAA Tournament promises another potential chapter in Clark’s legendary career.
